Thrustmaster Service is Dead!!!

by Sun Tz » Thu, 20 Jan 2000 04:00:00

It's too bad that so many companies nowadays have such ***service.  I know
this shouldn't be the case because a buddy of mine had a small***fall
out of his ACT LABS wheel.  Some guy from tech mailed one him to him within
a couple of weeks free of charge!
That really pisses me off that some companies would charge $10 for a spring
they probably buy for 10 cents.
Let's just hope that ACT LABS never gets so big that they become this way.

Thrustmaster Service is Dead!!!

by B_Heste » Fri, 21 Jan 2000 04:00:00

Just want to let everyone know that Thrustmast, who used to be top of the
line in customer service is now at the bottom.  Here is a 4th e-mail asking
for help for you to see.  They really don't seem to care.  Anyone else have
this experience?  Or something different..
I had sent my first e-mail in late November and had given up.  I sent this
one just last week and recieved the following reply.  I find the passage
about customer service feedback rather funny. I recieved this last Christmas
and it was brand new.  Should have been still under warranty, but it didn't
matter.  They didn't even tell me what I could do, or offer to sell me one.
Guess I'm out of luck and wasted my brother's $100 on the present.
Anyone have the piece I'm looking for??? Let me know

Phillippe,
Thank you for the response.  I recieved this as a gift just last year.  I do
a lot of on-line racing and the Nascar Pro Wheel only came out 2 years ago.
I'm disappointed that you are unable to service a product that was on retail
shelves everywhere and widely bought and used by the 1000's I race with.  I
really thought that Thrustmaster was a company that believed in helping it's
loyal fans.  I guess I was wrong. I will also post this and let those that I
race with understand your commitment and philosophy behind your product.
Sincerely,
Bill Hester

Thrustmaster Service is Dead!!!

by Phil Bowe » Fri, 21 Jan 2000 04:00:00

My Nascar Pro wheel and a buddies T2 wheel both have pedal springs broken.
After trying for weeks to get them on the phone, I purchased springs online
for TEN DOLLARS for EACH wheel.  Well, the invoice came but no springs.  I
ordered them on 12-27 and the invoice says 4 days shipping.  Perhaps they
meant 4 Fridays, or 4 Wednesdays.  In any case I'm out $20 on my credit card
and have F(*&$ed around on the phone long enough to waste another $20 in
long distance to leave messages and talk to the machine that says they're
always out of the office.

Yes, Guillemot is run by ***s.  Tomorrow, my Logitech Wingman FF Wheel
arrives and I only ordered it today.  Actually that's now today and
yesterday since it's 12:08 AM.

Yes, ActLabs seems to actually care for their customers.
I emailed them with aquestion about their products and they were back with an

Contact your credit card company and dispute the charges.  (One advantage to
paying with cc).  Why pay for something, you never received?

Good luck.

I've read this messages and they frighten me. I've bought in October a
T(h)rustmaster FF steeringwheel (I know you do stupid things every once a
week) and it broke 2 1/2 weeks ago. Brought it back to the reseller because
of the warranty of course. Thus this mean that I will never see it again?

Thrustmaster Service is Dead!!!

by Joel Willstei » Tue, 25 Jan 2000 04:00:00

Looks like the best move I ever made was to shelve my Thrustmaster T2 and
purchase a MSFF wheel. I still have plenty of spares from the days when
Thrustmaster gave the best customer service.
