All in all a good race for the Grubbat Dodge. The pit crew got me to the
front when it mattered. I fought a tight condition all day and had to alter
my breaking as the tires wore. Besides getting punted once near a restart,
an early pit stop and patence helped the grubbat dodge team end the day with
a top 5 finish. Some got a good run on the dodge team at the restarts and I
think RASCAR should take a look at it but right now I'm not complaining,
heck, I'm just doggone happy. The best car didn't win at the end, but I dont
want to take anything away from LNB. Good job dude.

Good run there Grub... congrats!

16 cautions for 58 laps... that sounds a lot worse than it was, IMO. Also,
from what I saw people seem to be getting the hang of not running into an
incident or eachother in response to an incident --> result!! <g>

Now all I gotta do is convince them not to run into eachother to start an
incident in the first place... easy! ;-)

On a more serious note: Don Dodge and Oliver Day need to delete the
"[1]"-bit from the carfile they're using. It's just something racesimcentral
seems to introduce when a car is downloaded from the forum and needs to be
removed in order to conform to the posted carset(s) on the RASCAR site.

Simmons:
Just a quick thanks for not punting me during the last 20 laps.
The 50, 43, and 83 were pretty close the last few laps, which made for fun
racing.
It wasn't until I watched the replay to see how many times I was smoking the
right rear.
Your patience is astounding, not to mention your ability to ride the brake.

Grub, you and Huggins were the class of the field the last quarter of the
race.
I tried several passes and never had a chance.
I believe it was around lap 110 or so, I was too worried about the 43 to try
anything serious, so I gave up trying to pass (as if I could have anyway)
I would have loved to see it go green to the end tho',  I think everyone in
the top five had some serious driving to do to keep their spot.

I agree with whomever said there were more cautions than it seemed, I am
still puckerin' from the last five laps.

Drinking Margarita's and having a damn fine night,

Dave (50 KnektR)

If I'd had another 5 laps, I think I could have harassed you enough
to get by you, but I was really happy enough just to finish the race
for once.  There were several times where I had to race side-by-side
for several laps with people because even though I had the inside
line, I couldn't get enough of a a run on them to pass them
completely (right ginger?  grin).  In fact, I didn't always complete
a pass despite muliple laps side-by-side.

At one point, me, Larry and Ginger went three wide thru turn 4 and we
all escaped with our lives. It just proves that racing side-by-side
in this sim is possible if everyone just slows down a little for the
turns and conisders the possibility of warp.

And you get lucky that no one does happen to warp when you are going through
three wide.

Not a happy day at all for the Cohiba Dodge team.  The driver was cleverly
pacing himself in 17th when the engine blew coming out of four and he spun
in his own oil.  The driver demanded and got an apology from the chief
mechanic to all the other teams that were caught up in the ensuing melee.
The new chief engine builder has promised us an engine that will last at
Pocono. (Orange County Choppers is taking over our engine program.)

Not a good day for the Cartoon Network Chevy either. Running in the top 10
most of the race, made it to 3rd and got hit in the back, rolled over a
couple of times. Engine never got back up to speed after that. I think I
finished 15th. There was alot of good racing going on, I enjoyed it. Looking
forward to Pocono next Sat.

Good day here too...

Knowing that track position was everything (and it was) I had no intentions
of pitting until I needed Gas.

But around Lap 50 my front end started skating, so at the next yellow I went
ahead and pitted.

That put me back in around 18th place.  It took me forever to get back near
the front.  Even though I was a lot faster than other cars, it was a real
*** to pass there.

I'll take a 5th place, no incident finish, especially since this is the best
I've done at a flat track so far.  I normally hate the things.

On to Pocono, the bane of my racing existance.

I wasn't near any of the incidents, but I think most of them were single-car
spins weren't they?

There was one car that was slower than me that I wanted to pass, but kept
chopping my nose off whenever I tried.  It was really pissing me off but I
kept my cool and didn't retaliate :)  I finally got around but I really had
to chew up some *** to do it.

I don't remember the car and it doesn't really matter.

Blue,

A dropped valve is a 'canned' response by the Sim when you go on your lid,
which makes it even more frustrating when you roll doing 3mph, which has
happened to me :)

I started almost last, watched everyone drive away.  Dodged a couple wrecks,
got clipped in a couple(but no incidents).  Closed up when the cautions flew.
I only got into the top 10 as people crashed or pitted, then lost the spots
again under green. Watched everyone drive away again.  Rinse, repeat.  Dodged a
couple wrecks, got clipped in a couple(but no incidents).
