Here's what I posted over a month ago:
--------
We added Teamspeak which has helped the drivers become more friendly and
respectful
of each other. They can also communicate their intentions better on the
track, and explain their view of any incidents (or even admit fault)
which helps calm tempers during a race. It creates a good atmosphere for
racing.
The races are for points, which encourages everyone to look at the big
picture instead of going for it all in each individual race. Drivers
approach these races more seriously and intelligently (using caution is a
big part of this) because they are working towards a goal of a good overall
finishing position in the standings.
We run practice races before the main race.
There is a two self spins and park it rule.
The whole group has a say in what happens now. Just last week I wanted the
off week road course races to count in the points standings (for a number of
reasons). Mitch didn't. We had a vote, and my idea was voted down. I wasn't
happy about it at all, but that's the way we do things now.
--------
There's always been a group of drivers in RASCAR who've raced very clean,
but we've added some new, very clean and fast drivers as well, replacing
some who've left for whatever reason. The quality of racing has steadily
improved. The group as a whole has really done an excellent job of turning
things around this season.
