ICR 1.02 patch HELP!!!

I downloaded the 1.02 patch for icr2 but i'm unable to open the
paintkit.When i try to change my driver name i have this message:"Unable to
write drivers info".I downloaded the cart97 carset and everything worked
fine with this one.Any help wanted.

The patch makes all files form the ICR directory readonly
So you'll have to manually remove the read-only flag form the
carset file( .dat file ) and the drivers*.txt form in the directory
