My GPL would stop and return me to windows.  I tried a lot of things but
nothing worked. FInally, I installed a Monster 3D II Card and everything is
fine now.  Any ideas why it works now?

That's what's happening to me now, I'm using a Matrox G200 and it kicks me back
to Windows98 just whenever it feels like it.  I wonder if there's another fix
besides a new card.

My guess (and stop me if I get too technical) is that there was something
wrong with you other card.
Try mentioning:
Chip
Motherboard
Memory
Operating System
3D card type
Other cards in the same machine
Driver Versions
Any problems with other games.

What card were you using before you installed the Monster II?

Marc.

No, but your initial problem might have been caused by an interrupt.  It's
happened to me a couple of times when my email program alerts me that I have
mail.
