Disappointing Disconnects in GPL VROC!

Aargh! I was leading on lap 3 of a VROC 3 lap race at the Nurburgring
last night, enjoying one of the best on-line races for a long time, when
the screen goes its familiar black, and I'm disconnected:-(

This isn't funny any more - does anyone know any way of improving this?
I'm running GPL 1.1 through an ISDN connection in Win98. I don't think
its the ISP as I've tried several now and always seem to get similar
problems.      

Any ideas?

GPL 1.2! It does work much better than 1.1.0.3.

And start logging trace routes and send them to your ISP. The net is
very bad right now, basically because of some overloaded key servers. We
are having lots of problems running league races except in off peak
hours.

Your comments are very interesting. I have noticed how difficult online
racing has been of late. I thought it was because I live in a rural area. I
have done tracerts and sent them to my ISP with not much joy. As an example
I only just now received your post dated 02-Nov , today is the 6th and
that's a lot better than usual. I keep complaining and they keep saying they
will fix it. Unfortunately there is only one ISP in this area. C'est la vie.
