I couldn't get your site to load. All I see is the banner streaming at
the bottom of the page. I don't know if you have this trick but it's
what I use. Some cool person from Hawaii posted this fix. Unfortunately,
it's been so long that I don't remember who that person is. Anyway, to
get rid of the constantly breaking pedal springs you replace them with
tremolo bar springs from a Fender Stratocaster. I used the springs from
a Kramer Strat clone, which uses a Floyd Rose tremolo system. The
springs can be found at guitar shops like Guitar Center in the US. You
unscrew the base, remove the top of the unit, remove the T2 springs,
then connect the circular end of the tremolo spring to the pedal shaft
and the hook end to the new spring to the base. There are a few holes in
the base and a couple of them work well. I prefer the new springs as the
tension is now constant and the pressure is lighter. If you prefer
heavier pressure, then install two or more new springs per pedal. The
circular end of the springs connect to the bolt that the old springs
pressed against. One really nice thing is that the potentiometers don't
need to be recalibrated as the pedal shafts don't need to be removed to
install the new springs. Anyway, if you already have this trick on your
site then it's old news. However, since I couldn't get your site to load
(and maybe others couldn't get it to load either) it may help someone
else.;-)
