As close as convenient, yes.
I've mentioned before here that I treat GPL as an "interactive history
lesson".  So, yeah, definitely weird! :o)

George, I also happen to adhere to those ground rules when I'm racing _my_
(as opposed to the off-line leagues) Championship!

One of the reasons that I have little interest in on-line racing is that,
when racing against the AI, I can wrap myself in a blanket of imagination
that allows me to compete against Brabham, Hill, Clark, et al., something
not possible if the opponent is Ed Kowalski from ***, Ohio. :o)

Yeah, well, you know, they say great minds think the same way, but on

so sure I want to think like you..........:-)

HA HA HA! LOL!
Thanks, "Uncle".......and remember; your turn will come.  In fact, when you
made that comment you were somewhat younger than you are now (and probably a
bit less weirder, to boot!).

(Somebody recently said "there are no 'old' people....just 'older' people".
When you're my age, that's a nice way of looking at it!! )

Aww, poor old Mexico.  I think a lot of people have had this opinion
about Mexico at first - I certainly did.  Funny though, now after
several races there, that has turned completely around and I actually
look forward to racing there.  It's become one of my favourite tracks.

Hey Bruce,

"Somebody recently said "there are no 'old' people....just 'older'
people"."

I think that someone was a TV commercial. Advertising the fact that it
is the year of the Old people. I think it is just John "Menzies"
Howard's way of sucking up to the elderly.

It's the _International_ year, Todd.  Not just Oz.

We have so many "days of" and "years of" that I wouldn't be surprised to see
one celebrating tinea or colonic irrigation or whatever takes your fancy.
Sorta loses impact after a while.

Goy, in all honesty I haven't run any other sim on a regular basis since
getting GPL.  I just find no satisfaction at all in N2 or ICR2 now, although
I am awaiting the releaseof,  and subsequent comments about, Nascar Legends.

There's a review up at "The Pits"

And yes, I understand what you are saying about GPL vs
<insert-name-of-any-sim-here>, I put it on the shelf for a while when I
was at my most actice on TEN/TPTCC, but reinstalled it the other day for
my review of the RRC pedals, and haven't run anything else since....btw,
is 1:27's at Zandvoort any good at all ?

I see the hotlappers are running in the 22's, but I'm no hotlapper
