Hi

Found of cars and racing simulation, I recently invested in a TM Formula 1
racing wheel.

It works nicely and emphasises the sensations by hard driving.

Nevertheless, I get surprised as Win 95 does not recognises it as being
connected. I moved to Win 98 two weeks ago, and same result.

However the wheel is correctly managed by games running in DOS even launched
from Win 95/98: Need For Speed, NFS II SE, Europress RAC Rally.

Any idea would be welcome.

Please contact me through Email.

Have fun

I have seen this happen and don't have a good reason for it.  Sometimes
I need to unconnect the Wheel and then remove it from the Games
Controller.  Then I plug in a simple joystick and select it in the Games
Controller.  Then unplug the joystick and plug the wheel back in and the
select in in the Games Controller.  Also, it is necessary for the wheel
to be the first device listed in the Games Controller (it might even be
safer to delete all other devices until you get it recognized.  You are
selecting the device that matches the way your pedals are set?  (Sorry
for the blatant question, I am not implying that you are an idiot, but
trying to cover the basics...)

Michael,

I think that he is not even getting a chance to select the wheel in the
controllers list (it isn't listed in W95/98).  I suggested to him to go and
get the Pro Panel software from Thrustmaster's website.Once I installed
that, all my "controller" problems disappeared...not only for N2 but the
other games he listed as well. One neat thing I have found out also is that
Pro Panel works great with my first edition ECCI as well. I just select a
NASCAR Pro w/combined pedals and it picks it up great. Now I can use my ECCI
with Windows 95/98 native arcade racers as well (without messing it up in
N2). Sometimes even I can stumble onto something<G>!
