SCGT Bathurst Problem

Not being a SCGT person I don't know how to fix this...

I did a fresh (No not that kind of "fresh" a NEW install) of SCGT added the
scgt1551 patch from the pits added the TC_patch1.0 added Bathurst1.0 fire up
the game do the cheats and when I try and go to the track I get the
following errors...

Unable to open scene file DAT\ANI.ANI
Error loading scene file D:\Sports Car GT\DAT\BATH4.SCN

I have uninstalled and reinstalled more tahn once with the same results.....
I got another person to try and he gets the same result.......

Thanks in advance for any suggestions...

I too have *exactly* the same messages pop up.
SCGT drops to desktop and the first message appears. The game then tries
again, drops to desktop once more and the second message appears, followed
by the game shutting down.

I also have a full install.

Troy,
You have to execute the extract_scene.bat in the Dat dir after the TC
patch.

Hi Troy,
execute the xtract_scene.exe that is in your dat-folder after installing the
files. This should work

you are gonna LOVE that track.  Bathurst became a favorite of mine for
viewing about 3 years ago....Never even heard of the track or the Bathurst
1000 til good ol Speedvision started.  I practically knew the track without
any recon...but...a "couple" of the corners were a bit sharper than I
thought...BANG!  hehe

I have never driven the track in anger all the way round..I have done a
hillclimb up the mountain starting on Conrod going the "wrong way" up the
dipper in a Lotus Escort was loads of fun...

Well, here's the appropriate section from the Readme.txt file that came with
the Bathurst compressed file.....
===========
How to install:
1. Unzip the Bath.mas, Batw.mas, Bathmap.mas to your Sports Car GT/Mas
folder.
2. Unzip the remaining files to your Sports Car GT/Dat folder.
3. Run SCGT, create new player and use cheat codes.
4. Select Bathurst in one of its many options and HANG ON ACROSS THE
MOUNTAIN!!!!
===========
It's not in that one.

Here's the same text from the HTML version of the same file.........
