Voodoo 3 problem with all Papy sims

by Jlarson » Sun, 07 Nov 1999 04:00:00

I just got a new computer with Voodoo3 2000 graphics.  I had been using a
Voodoo 2 card.  Now N3, NL, and GPL are very dark.  I've adjusted the gamma
settings, but it doesn't do any good.  Also, GPL is really screwed up
graphically, with lots of black lines all over the place.

Anybody know how to fix this?

G'Day James,
The first thing i would do is check to see if you have the latest 3dfx
driver installed.dennis

You have to remove the dll's left over from your previous voodoo card.

N3 and NL are fine here but I noticed the black stripes on track textures
when installing GPL!?. I had GPL working fine with the V3 but I had the game
installed while the V2 was still inside... I thought that was a driver issue
so I let it go...
Did you try switching drivers?

I had the same problem with my voodoo 3 3000 on GPL.  Download the latest
patch from www.papy.com and that fixes it.
