REACTOR - ICR2-3d Won't Load

Ok, first of all the txt file on the installation states to go to DOS mode
and then type D: for the CD then cd\ICR2 then INSTALL.  Well, my cd
directory is
D:\indycar2\icr2    When I get into that subdirectory where the
install.exe is located and run install - the directories are created on
the C: drive and the indysafe and indyfast files but no other files.  I
then hard copied the files from CD to hard drive then ran setup.  Then
tried to run the game by using indyfast and I get a message about unable
to locate VERITE board and the game doesn't load.

Anyone have any clue on how I've screwed this up and I've tried every
possible combo on the installation process

C> D:\indycar2\icr2\install
D> \indycar2\icr2\install

nothing installs correctly.  I'm using win95 and I use the multi-boot
option to go to "Command Prompt Only"  and even from win95 "shutdown"
"restart to MSDOS mode"   Nothing is working for this ICR2 3d version.

Did you try installing it from the floppy disk that came with it?
The install file on the cd will not install all the files. Go to run
in win 95. Type in A:\install , providing you put the floppy in the
drive, everything will install.

Well for starters, that's not how you install the game.  There should
have been an included 3.5 floppy that has an updated install program.
If you didn't get one I believe the update is also available on
Intergraph's web page.

Someone at Intergraph sure missed a quality check on that CD for sure.

OK, I screwed up.  The floppy was there, I just didn't realize it.  Things
are working just fine :)

Sorry for the panic.

You should have received a floppy diskette with your CD with a new ICR2
install program. With the CD in the drive, run the install program off the
floppy and everything should be fine. Alternatively, you can just XCOPY the
ICR2 directory off the CDROM, but you'll have to change the attributes of
the config files to R/W.
