GPLDUMP 1.0.0 Released!

by Juha Kallioin » Thu, 23 Mar 2000 04:00:00

Hello speed freaks!

This is probably the final release of GPLDump as the new
utility GPL Replay Analyser shows much promise.

There aren't many new things to this version, but at
least you can look at the Snetterton track map now :-)

Have fun :-)

WHAT's NEW?

 1.0.0 (23-Mar-2000)
+ Added support for loading map files directly from a *.trk file
if no *.dat file is found for the track.
+ Made the trackmap use real curves instead of straight lines to
represent the curved sections. Be sure to update your split time
settings, because they are probably in the wrong places after this.

WHAT IS IT?

GPLDump is a Windows utility, which can be used to extract all
kinds of information from a GPL replay file. This info can then be
viewed on a chart and compared to another replay file.

You can get the latest version at:

Cheers!

Thanks Juha, I didn't expect a new version after you lost the code :)
You're right about GPL Replay Analyzer, it simply has more options and
is an even better tool for analyzing replays, but I use GPL RA for
comparing the driving line, and I still use GPLDump for comparing the
data graphically. Allthough GPL RA has got this option, I think
GPLDump is the better util for this. Clearer display and full screen.
Maybe you can combine forces with Martin?

GPLDUMP 1.0.0 Released!

Hi Andre

I totally agree..I e-mailed Juha as I wanted to use GPLDump for
Snetterton...actually managed to get round this by making myself a snett.dat
file containing just the TRK file<G>....Juha said the same to me...glad you
think like I do...GPLReplay Analyser has great features...but I do prefer
the graphs from GPLDump.

Thanks Juha!

GPLDUMP 1.0.0 Released!

Hi,

Lost code!? :( Not fun...

When we started working on GPL Replay Analyser(nov 99), the realtime
plotting of driving lines and the reports were the only planned
features. But then it seemed as if GPL Dump development had been
dropped (no new releases for several months) so we added some graphs
too. After that Juha started releasing new stuff again. And since Juha
had made a better job of decoding more of the rpy-file and already had
good graphs we never bothered to put much effort in the graphs.

GPLDump is probably better for "advanced" analysing of graphs, GPLRA
only contains basic graphs for finding where you loose time etc. We
also added a graph which you can't get without "plotting" of driving
lines - Slip Angle.

Cheers,

/Martin

Say, since when was the Acceleration option there? I never noticed it,
but it's very usefull!

Works perfect Juha, the loading menu has also improved.
