That's one of the weaknesses in the AI overall. The other day, I was passing
Earnhardt on the inside of turn 4 at C***te when his car appeared to turn
down on me. I spun off into the grass (thankfully not hitting anyone), then
got on the track again several seconds later. By that time, I was in 27th
place. A Couple of laps later, an accident happened on the back straight,
and I was able to move all the way back to 7th place from 25th. As I went by
the wreck, most of the cars were lined up in single file behind the wreck
not doing a damn thing!
Another thing that peaves me is that the leaders don't pass slower traffic
aggressively enough. They stay behind obviously slower cars. This happens on
all the tracks!
Oh well... besides that, though, N2 is still a damn great game. Its
weaknesses aside, I'm a total ***. Now if I can just get that Dover setup
right...
