rec.autos.simulators

My lap record at Kyalami was 7.65 seconds after a multiplayer game. I reset
the record in the track folder but my best lap times was still showing this
highly unrealistic time. In the player.ini file I changed the best lap time
for practice to 82.00000 but did not modify the 9 digit number that precedes
it. (what is this number for?)
Now I find that the AI cars are doing 1:09:xx laps (they have only sped up
at Kyalami). Can someone tell me how to get them back to more realistic
times? I assume it has something to do with the Global Hype system.

Delete the file player.sts in your Player folder.
