I wonder how much simracingnews.com got paid to do their review. It's
completly contradictory to anything anyone else has said here...

I'm still not sure if I should buy it...I may pick up Colin McC instead,
afterall, it's only a couple of quid now!!!

I read the review, played the game for about ten hours now, and I can
only fully agree with the review.

Only time and personal experience will tell.....   In this newsgroup it
seems to be quite common for people who don't particularly like a sim
to thoroughly trash it over quality issues; conversely, if they like it
there is a tendency to glorify it.  Just watch what the "old reliable"
sim racers say about it...they are usually pretty dependable in their
evaluations.

From what I have seen so far, it seems to be well received by those old
reliables.  Since I just can't wait for the USA release my order is on
its way via airmail from the UK right now.  If it is as good as the old
RAC Rally from Eurosport it will be at least great good fun, and if it
is improved, so much the better.  It will be worth the funds either way.

I think this game is OK, it has taken a lot of stick recently but I'm
enjoying it. It would be a lot better if, in video replay, the drivers hands
moved, the heads are ok, drivers up and co-driver's down, but the hands and
wheel don't move.
Regardless of physics this is a good game.

Can you please pass on the URL of where you ordered it from?

I'm in the USA too and Electronics Boutique doesn't even know this game exists
much less when it will be released.

I've already got a chance to play it at a friend's house who got it by less
than proper means, and from what I tried, I really like it, very fun. While the
physics may not be ultra realistic, the feeling of speed is awesome and there
are some extremely fun sections on the stages where you have your heart in
your throat trying to force yourself to keep the gas down wondering what is
around the next curve. Definitely a MUST BUY for me. The hard part is waiting
for it to come out here in the USA.

I'd definitely order it from the UK if I don't have to jump through too many
hoops to do so.

I just wish these European publishers would start releasing here in the US
sooner, it's a shame that the titles make it over here so quickly over illegal
methods and yet it takes so long for people who actually want to buy the titles
to be able to do so.

Try www.gameplay.com  They are in the UK, and I've ordered from them before.
They only charge a few dollars to ship a game to the U.S., and it arrives in
maybe 3-5 days.

It's listed at the site as Mobil Rally Championship. A phone order may be
faster than ordering it on the web site, but that's just a guess. I called
them when I ordered.

It's an amazing piece of sim, just imagine how difficult it was to get that
three diff computer controlled 206 working on only one machine. Wow!

BTW, I'm quitting my track racing, I'm starting a rallying career those cars
just have the ultimate brakes, my mom won't be worried anymore. If anything
goes wrong I'll just slam the brakes and come to a halt in 10 meters.

Heh, very right Ed, the first time I felt this was when GP2 came out in
Europe 2 weeks ahead of release here in the states, I went nuts waiting the
extra 2 weeks, hearing all you guys in Europe posting about how great GP2
was and not being able to buy it, I remember that I lost my cool with the
Microprose representative Gabe Turk (I think that was his name) who was
*** out here in r.a.s. answering customer support questions about GP2.

You'd think after all these years I would be used to waiting, but after having
waited months and months for F1RS and CMR then TOCA I'm still not happy about
it, I wish I had Rally Championship right now in my greedy little hands, maybe
I should start having my relatives in Portugal start shipping these things to
me :-)

Oh well patience was never my strong suit, at least I ordered this one from
the U.K. hopefully the wait should only be weeks instead of months.

I ordered it from the Software Zone, http://www.softwarezone.co.uk/, on
11/19.  Nobody else seemed to have it for sale across the Internet,
though that may have changed since it was released throughout Europe and
in Canada.  Know any good Canadian e-business game stores?
