Steering Wheel FAQ/Recommendations

by Lee » Sat, 09 Feb 2002 07:40:12

Hi,

Can someone point me at an FAQ for buying a steering wheel and pedals
please?

Alternatively....

I've played most of the driving type simulations/games on the Playstation
until now, but would like to try them on my PC. I have an 800MHz system with
256MB of RAM and GeForce 2MX running Windows 2000 SP2. Anyone got advice as
to the best wheel/pedals available at a sensible price (I was hoping for
less than UKP 100).

Recommendations for GT or Rally type games/simulations suitable for the
above system also appreciated.

Many thanks in advance,

Lee.

See this article "2001 Steering Wheel Roundup"

Some of the Logitech and Thrustmaster wheels work on both PS2 and PC.

For Win2000 check that the company supports drivers for that operating
system.
