Another Color Pallete Question... (ICR2, NASCAR)

by Hart » Wed, 11 Sep 1996 04:00:00

I realize this has probably been covered before, so please forgive me - but I can't seem to locate any information on exactly HOW to overcome the Color Pallete problem when switching between NASCAR and ICR2.

I use Paint Shop Pro, and like to copy graphics from NASCAR to ICR2 cars.  The problem is that when I import the saved .pcx file created by PSP into ICR2's paintkit - it looks horrible.  I would assume this is due to different color palletes being used between the two programs (NASCAR and ICR2).

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get around this?  I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Hartz

Check out the Late Night website (URL in my sig). Follow the link from the
main page to the Car Painting guide. You'll find links there to some
resources as well as tips on how to get around the problem you're
describing. In a nutshell, you need to load the proper palette before you
save off the imported graphics. You may also have to do some hand-tweaking
to convert a few of the colors.
