Losing almost a second per lap, driving around for all intents and purposes by
myself.  Started nodding off, and figured it was too dangerous to be driving
around half asleep.  So, I pulled into the pits.  I guess I'll go finish
putting down tile in my ba***t now...

And boy did that last yellow hurt me. I was coming into the pits and the
yellow came out just as I was past the point of no return for going around.
End of the longest line was my reward and no chance of a top 5 finish that
was possibly on the cards.

Was good to be able to hang onto Neil's tail for much of the race before he
edged away from me though and the last 20 laps dicing side by side with
Larry was fun. Can't think that I'm cursed with all the bad luck in this
series though.... Ah well

Ok, this doesn't make any sense.  I didn't have any damage, and pulled off
voluntarily.  WTF is this?

Actually we had 3 yellows.  2 self induced and the one at the end between
Neil and Brian.  Brian is sure a class act about it though.  He led the most
laps and was battling for second yet he didnt complain at all when he got
wrecked.

We lucked out a few laps earlier though Mark.  I heard someone on TS was
involved in some kinda accident but the yellow never flew.  I was exactly in
your position having just entered the pit road.

A bunch of us got screwed on that 2nd to last yellow.  I lucked out though
and managed to make up the positions and then get my lap back at the end.
Had a GREAT battle with Corey (Coorzman) for 3rd even though he was clearly
faster.  All around fun race.

Maybe the universe is just trying to tell me something recently, and I haven't

[snip]

Dead right Mitch - Brian was as classy as it gets. For this race I had
decided to try and emulate the great Ging and do nothing but look after
tyres and fuel. I pitted on the first yellow and was stuck back in the pack
but stuck to my plan and took as long as it needed to work up safely. Given
how loose the setup was, everyone was doing a great job - I would never have
believed there'd only be 2 self spins.

The master plan worked on the second yellow as I was still fine on fuel and
tyres and ended up as only one of 4 on the lead lap. When Robert discoed I
thought 'that's a guaranteed third place - be cool'. I'd spent 10 laps
trying to find Brian's weakness (BTW, he doesn't have any) and thought my
best bet was to try to get a run off of T2 where I seemed pretty good. With
two laps to go I tried it and closed up more than I expected. The slightest
of touches and that was all she wrote :(

I'm really sorry Brian - although I love to race hard at the end I never
wanted for that to happen. I've made a couple of errors in recent weeks and
I'm going to have to work at eliminating them. Your response was awesome - I
expected (and deserved) a good lashing. Had your motor been running I would
have given the position back.

Sorry again and grats to everyone but me - on a fast track with a loose
setup it was probably the best display of RASCAR driving I've seen in a
while (and there've been some good ones lately).

Regards
