Any ideas why Amazon won't ship NFS:PU to Canada?

Any ideas why Amazon won't ship NFS:PU to Canada?

Man, I just want to send a fun little gift to a friend in Canada, but Amazon
won't ship it to Canada from America.  Are they concerned that wannabe
terrorists will stay up late at night in their igloos, practising the skills
necessary to drive a very small, very fast car into a steel foundry?

Sarcasm aside, can someone suggest a good online retailer in Canada
(dragon.ca doesn't have it)

Try Electronics Boutique or Chips 'n' Bits.

Maybe there is a distribution issue with that title of that software
company, it may be not for export, and it this case could mean Canada as
well?  Although most sw that is slated NFO usualy includes all of NA.

What a pain. Here are a couple of options:

www.compusmart.com (their site navigation sucks, you're probably best off
using Search, I found it for $30 CDN)
www.futureshop.ca (they only seem to have the French version and it's $60
CDN)

Also, maybe Electronics Boutique will send it to us her up North?

Hmmm, maybe they don't want to be bothered with the Customs paperwork (which
is needed even when there is no duty to be paid - go figure) for such a
low-priced item.

Anyway, http://www.FutureShop.ca  doesn't have it listed any more, except
for the French version. Canadian Gamer
(http://www.canadiangamer.com/storecanadiangamer/shop/ProductResults.a...
dStock=1003910) lists it as out of stock, and it's too expensive there
anyway. Try Microplay
(http://www.microplay.com/product.asp?pid=014633140774) but they list it as
'low stock'. They are based in Toronto. Hope this helps...

I don't know if this applies to why Amazon won't ship NFS:PU or not... but
when that game first went gold I bought my copy here in Canada and it was
titled Porsche 2000. I have seen NFS:PU in Walmart but I figured they slid
some U.S. copies across the border through their own distribution channels
instead of going with the normal software distrib. channels (whatever they
are).

Eh.  I've seen NFS:PU in a bargain bin for 19.95$ CAN last week at "Bureau
En Gros" (Staples) while searching for Rally Trophy and WWIIOnline.  I
didn't find them <G>.

It's a bit difficult to rummage through the bargain bins in Canada from the
other side of the Atlantic. :-)

Thanks to everyone who suggested some other online sources.
