I've just got Destruction Derby 2 in the UK.

Firstly the manual contains hardly any info. Looks great though. Typical Psygnosis.

There is no modem or IPX multiplay. There is a relatively useless take it in turns
multiplay however.

The graphics in SVGA on my 166 (Millenium Vid Card) are very good. However the game
ONLY runs in Win 95. The box has a sticker saying Win 95 and Dos in large type with a
small line of text underneath saying This version is Win 95 only. Strange typesetting.

I have a T2 wheel and I can't get the pedals to work. There is no facility in the game
to change the control buttons so accelerate and reverse is with the gear lever. Not
hard to play at all!

Small point I know but you can't adjust the music level and the only way to turn it
off is to remove the CD.

I was really looking forward to this but am very disapointed. The gameplay is great
but I didn't spend 125 on a wheel to use a joystick or a keyboard.

Tommorow I'll be taking it back.

I was going to buy DD2 as I heard it was going to be playable on the net
but now it's crossed off my list.
These damn companies better get off their butts and open their eyes cause
more and more people are buying net-playable games only now days.

Thats what I was afraid of. How and why would we want to run a
DD2 game without wheel and pedal control. I tried DD1 and I hated
the accel/brake capabilities. I am going to try it at the store the
end of this week, and if the US version does not support the wheel
controllers, I will not buy it.

So much for new and improved,
