Well as some of you know Spooky was tragicly killed on the 7th of August
last year.
I know this is still some time off from today but I`m gonna burn a candle on
that day !

:-(

Keep up the good work West Brothers !

I hope they're better programmers than pet owners.

I'd say it's about even-steven....One Racing project died.  One Kitty
died.

If I were a Goldfish in the West household...I would be taking
evolution lessons.  :)

I heard that Spooky actually starved to death. It really was not the
West's fault. They fully intended to feed him. They told him on
numerous occasions that they would, but things just never seemed to
work out. It seems that every time they finally decided on a specific
food to administer to him, they found another, better, more nutritious
food that they then had to investigate and research. A sad story,
really.

They were too busy designing this REALLY COOL BOWL to put the food in.

Wow, that was my first jab at them.. but it was painfully obvious.. I had
to.

Yep.  It was really quite nice, what with the neat teddy bear design and
all.  ;o)

a few of the west racing related posts have already made it to
alt.humor.best-of-usenet fame. I'll pick two from the latest thread
and submit them for review, too ;-)

Pretty poor taste of you guys.  I'm sure that the cat was considered a
family member.  Remember that the next time a relative of yours dies
and people poke fun at you, no matter what your shortcomings are.

Any possibility of people getting banned here?

Ban people for poking fun at a dead cat ? You must be a real gas to hang out
with.
You a veggie, or do you cry when you eat a chicken salad sandwich ?
 Lighten up, Francis.

Sorry, this is USENET. You might want to explore the countless
features that web forums offer if you think banning people will help
improve the general quality and niveau (wow, I spelt that! ;-) of
posts within the community. ;-)

All the best,

Actually, on second thought, I can well relate. Our cat lucy died a
couple of years ago, and both my son and me cried like babies when we
took her from the pet doc who'd help her pass on to the other side,
then burying her in my in-law's garden (they say cat's graves make for
great roses). I even put up an obituary (now, did I spell that
correctly?) at http://www.racesimcentral.net/

But still, whenever I feel sorry about the death of a cat, I remind
myself of the many creatures she / he has put to death in the most
cruelly, even playsome, kind of way, leaving them for us to finish off
without so much as a glance to the side when she walked past. How does
it feel to kill a little bird fallen from its nest by putting a ***y
spade through its neck? Have you ever watched those tiny wings
fluttering when death cometh?

You know, sometimes it's everybody's turn, be it bird, mouse, cat or
human. There comes a time when it's time to give back to the community
of life on this planet, which you have eaten through without doing so
much as thinking about it, for all your life.

I attended a funeral today of a relative (not cat), so these thoughts
are in my head at the moment.

Cheers,

uwe
