GPL 800x600 question?

GPL 800x600 question?

Just got a Monster Voodoo II and i am trying to run at 800x600.  It
works but the screen is shrunk down with black bars at top and bottom.
Anyone know why, or what i can do to fix this besides adjusting the
monitor every time?  I have the latest drivers too.

Black bars at top and bottom are normal,try a different refresh rate,75 or
85.

That is how it is, since you don't need to see a while bunch of the sky it
runs in wide screen mode to give you a good view left and right without
having to draw more top and bottom.

Don't adjust your monitor - your Monster II is working fine. The black
space at the top and bottom of the screen is intentional.  Papyrus put
it in to give you a wider view. In the in-car mode, this area is left
blank.  If you look at some of the other replay/camera views, you will
notice that information is presented in the top black area (the lap
you're on, your last lap time, your best lap time, speed, the pole
driver and time, etc.).
