Not sure, but Indy has a UNIQUE 4 lap qualifying program. Your 4
lap average is your qualifying time, one good lap and adios is the same
as aborting the run. So that's how it's done in Indycar racing also.
You need to complete 4 good laps. If you stink one up, wave off.
Also this applies to the Nascar qualifing at Talladega. They use
a 2 lap average there.
