Trying to install V Rally 2 Expert edition on my machine - when I go to play
the game I get the intro screen but then complete darkness and I have to
reboot my machine.

I am using WinME with a GeForce4 Ti 4200 running detonator 40.52 drivers.

Is it my machine or a bug with the game? I cannot seem to find any patches
for it.

Maybe that's because it's a console game.  Hellooo?

Looks very like a PC game to me:

It's a fiver in 'Game'. I used to have it on the PSX a few years ago and
quite enjoyed it. It looks good and plays well on my friends PC so I was
trying to get it to work - but no luck so far...
Infogrames have it on their website but the support section is greyed out -
now there's a thing!

Thanks - I'm running WinME which I guess puts me between the devil and the
deep blue sea...
Any idea if there is any workaround that I can do?

It's an older game? Try the 30.82 drivers then. It's worth a shot :)
Hmmm... looks like fun, where can I get it?

I tried some older detonator installations, along with 30.82 - no luck I'm
afraid...
I have seen it for sale at Electronics Boutique/Game in the UK - the site
www.v-rally.com has details of where to buy it.
It's worth the fiver for the Pikes Peak video on the disc - 5 minutes of
superb driving and camera work.
Trouble is, it just makes me want to be able to get the game working even
more!
