GPL Movie Making Help

by britdi.. » Fri, 19 Jul 2002 11:58:21

I'm just getting started in making a GPL movie. I have the amazing
Camera Control Master and Movie Studio 2 for capturing the footage.
But I'm looking for an inexpensive (<$100) editing software package to
help bring it all together in terms of video, audio, titles and
effects. Any advice?

Thanks

I'm currently looking at Video Explosion Deluxe and Ulead's Video
Studio 6. Any thoughts or comments on these?

Virtualdub is free on the net. Several movies have been made with that.
I'm pretty sure most of the long movies have been done with Adobe
Premiere though (it's what I use too) but of course that's v expensive.

I have VirtualDub and its great for actually editing the video. But I
haven't found a way of putting titles on it, or an easy and good way
of handling more than 1 sound track. Am I missing something in it?
Thanks.

Also what is the best format to save the movies in? DivX with what
settings? I really want to keep the quality but often end up with
MASSIVE files. Again thanks for any help.
