glide wrapper

I recently installed the glide2x wrapper so that I could run higher
resolutions then the default 640 x 480 in gpl with my Voodoo2. Off line,it
works great. I have run with 1024 x 768 and glp worked perfectly. Frame
rates varied between the mid 20s to 36. The problem came when trying to run
online races on VROC. I reset the resolution to 800 x 600. But I keep on
experiencing constants disconnects. The only way I could race online was to
remove the glide wrapper and reinstall the glide2x ver2.53.

Am I the only one having this problem,or is there another way of using
the wrapper without the constant disconnects.

I assume you mean better frame rates at higher resolutions that 640.  As
I am not aware of any problems a Voodoo2 would have with GPL (other than
the DirectX6 drivers).

I don't know why the glidewrapper should cause problems with staying
connected.  I have been using the glidewrapper for months with my
Voodoo2 (both 2.53 and QuakeII drivers) with no problems online.  It
almost sounds more like you had problems with the glide drivers and not
the wrapper.  Of course I am assuming you are referring to George
Smiley's wrapper for GPL.
