Can you run this sim in 1024X768? I have two Voodoo2's (SLI), I tried
changing the sierra.inf file to this setting but it did not take.

Anyone try this?

Thanks
Rick

No, the 3Dfx version of NR1999 runs at 640x480.

I don't think *any* version runs higher than 640x480, correct?

Remove the -nospam- from the email address.  Sorry, I *had* to put it in.
I'm receiving more junk mail than ever now.

When my N99 copy arrives from the US, I'll try it in 1024 on my Wicked3D. Some
games don't like getting rescaled, some look really great.

You talkin' to me, kiddo? ;^) Well, you can call me boy anytime...

But you're wrong! Get informed. Wicked3D provides drivers for their V2's
that make almost any resolution possible. Read it on www.wicked3d.com.

So what your saying is that the polygons could stretch out to make a bigger
resolutions ?  The graphics would be more sharp, no ? Hmm Im septic, since I
think many problems could occur with the 2d***pit maybe, but if you find a
fact in this information and prove it, your gonna be a net.hero  ;-)

Even with the drivers it would seem that you would still be limited to
the resolutions supported by the game. In the case of N99, 640x480 is
the max, no matter what card or drivers you use.

2D***pits are rescaled, thus loosing quite a little in quality. Of
course,
it looks best with 3D***pits. But it IS possible, I'll let the ng know
when my copy of N99 arrives...

Hmm, the fact is MGPR running in higher res than supported on my system,
and
you're right, the 2D***pit looses quality when rescaled.

Ok, I received my copy of N99 (YES!). And after checking out some of the tracks
I tried to use the higher resolution with the Wicked3D, and it works! OTOH,
N99 doesn't improve a lot with 800x600 or 1024, has quite a frame rat hit and
like I mentioned, the 2D***pit gets a little fuzzy. So, I'm a "net.hero",
because it works (at all), but will settle for 640x480 nevertheless... ;^)

Wow thanks for the information.... seems that I will download those drivers
and "try" them on my Monster 3d II.  Hmmm I think we are all really
surprised, since about all of us though that the old Papy game engine was
stuck in 640x480.  Stretching polygons could be an aid for online racing (I
really hate when crash happens and you have to guess if those little
polygons are sideways or not!).

I thereby name thou as net.hero    ;)

Hold yer horses! Until now Wicked3D allows their drivers only to run on
their
own V2 boards (return of investment ;^), but as H3D closed shop,
Metabyte/Wicked3D
are going to sell those glasses and probably are offering their V2
drivers to
be used on any V2 board.

The honor, the glory... ;^)
