SODA and Viper racing Q's

Hey everyone. I just rec'd my free copies of Viper racing and SODA from
Chris C. Thanks Chris. My questions, I cannot get SODA to run higher than
640x480. I have a GF2 and whatnot, does it have problems detecting a card so
new?? I haven't had time to really play them lots, but they both seem like
fun games. Can someone also direct to me some links that offer upgrades,
patches and add-ons as well for both games???

No 3DFX/D3D/OGL support at all for SODA.  You're stuck in Software rendering
unless you have an ancient rendition setup for your PC.

640x480 WAS HI-Rez back then.  Other than a bunch of user created tracks,
there is not much of anything for Soda.
Soda also had a pretty good FF code, but the paticular type of codec used,
I think, has fallen out of favor and you'll be hard pressed to find any FF
wheel that will work with it.
Viper still has an odd league or two with extra cars(GTS-R) and tracks,
you'll find more stuff for Viper.

If you are running 2K or XP, you need to get the beta patch for Viper
Racing.  The file name for mine is "viperpatch121beta".  It fixes all of the
audio distortion problems, and the game runs perfectly under XP with this
patch.

It does other stuff too, but I forget the list.

I haven't been able to get Soda to run since I upgraded to GeForce cards
years ago...
