Help on speeding up GP2 Frame rate

Will changing the car colors affect the processor occupancy?  I have a
P75 laptop and have to run in win 95.  With almost everything turned
off and in VGA mode I get 25fps but run at 21 or so and still have a
high occupancy rate.
If I make the car colors simple, all one color or all white will that
make a difference?  Is there a color that uses less chip power?

Thanks

No chance. Although you only *see* one colour, it still uses 256 clrs encoding,
and you won't be able to change that.

Try to set the target framerate about 2.0 lower than the estimated framerate to
get lower processor occupancy. That will help a bit.

Another trick would be to download a larger***pit design somewhere: this makes
the portion of the screen that has to be updated smaller, and therefore the
framerate will be higher.

Hope this helps,

JOH

On my site you can find lots of PC configurations. (In top 10 tables)
You can compare those to your config and see what settings you
should be able to use.

My site is at: http://www.worldonline.nl/~flucas/index.html
