GP2: what are best controls for joystick?

by Mika Melonen il2 » Tue, 15 Oct 1996 04:00:00

Maybe someone else have asked this question, but what are the best
controls for joystick. I mean, should I use the Opposition Lock help or
that other help (I can't remember the name, but it is before the
opposition lock). How about those Reduce with Speed? Yesterday I tryed
out to drive with joystick without any help, but the car unbelievable
difficult to drive. Does anyone have any good tips for joystick playing?
(Absolutely the best choice is Wheel and Pedals, but averyone can't
afford it).

I play GP2 with a couple of joysticks with only the help that reduce control
with the speed, and i have no problems. But i use the X axis of the right
for steering and the Y axis of the left one for throttle and braking. All
the controls in one joystick makes it imposible to drive the car.

Hello Mika,
I've been fiddling around too, and after reading the manual and trying
different set-ups for my joystick (sidewinder pro) I had to go back to
the normal joystick config.
The car was also undriveable for me :-((
Otherwise I think all we can do is practise practise practice ;-)
