ferP = 936124652 208.151993 ; Best lap time
ferR = 936125897 209.789001 ; Best lap time
lotP = 943990403 204.272995 ; Best lap time
lotR = 943991584 204.296005 ; Best lap time
The first number is, if I can trust my programmer guts, the #seconds
since 1-1-1980 or 1-1-1970, i.e. the time/date the time was set.
The 2nd number is just the number of seconds taken.
So here, my best time would be some 204 secs = 3m24s. The decimal
parts is directly related; my best time therefore is 3m24s27
(rounded). The 204.296005 shows up as 3m24s30. But I am 4/1000 sec
faster! ;-)

Hi Scott,
You can open and edit your player.ini in any text editor, Notepad
works fine. Go to the track area [Spa] and find the line you want
edit. The time will be in seconds, so your 3:14 will be 194.xxxxx,
just completely delete that line, then save and close the file.

The problem is everytime I improve my handicap and log back on loads more
people have joined the list and I'm actually lower than I was before:-(

But there may also be some treshold that new entries feel they must beat
before they dare to upload their times.
Could it be 70.45? :-)

Keep in mind the essence of the whole thing, which is the Papyrus
Benchmark, the Zero point. That's what your comparing yourself to
with your GPLRank number, and you've probably done nothing but move
closer to it, even though a bunch of people have come on the list and
bumped you down in terms of the number of total participants. Were
all experiencing the same thing. It's an eye opener to see just how
many really fast people there are, and just how many drivers there
are in total. But even though I now have to face being a lot slower
than I thouht I was, it's pretty cool seeing how I rate compared to
the rest of the world.

If we assume that 20% of GPL drivers have registered (given that many don't
race on line and many that do don't know about RAS or GPLRank) then that
means there are at least 5 x 700 or 3500 active GPL'ers out there.
Not bad for a 2-year-old game (sim, whatever...).

I had almost given up on it, still not being able to drive on VROC due
to our firewall, and seeming to be on the edge of lap times, but
GPLRank revived the *obsessive* interest!
I hope GP3 will be fantastic as well so we can have a GP3Rank for
example. The Rank applies for any serious racing game, even. Perhaps
even, dare I say, F12K? Anything with good enough physics so being
able to drive (like Greger Huttu, is he a real racing driver?)
deserves their own <name>Rank. Gives an incredible boost.
If there is to be one there for F12K, I will perhaps pick that one up
again. Hmm. :) Still, having come back driving GPL, I should perhaps
try the AI once more. Have been hotlapping since GPLRank.

To think I never much drove Mexico before - I hated it. It does grow on
