Burnout Class Restrictions

Don,......if your listening........

Trying to duplicate the current NHRA Pro Stock class I've found the
following problems,

1) Enabling the Pro Stock only body style leaves you with just two
chassis,.....both Firebirds. The Avenger doesn't even qualify because
it comes up too heavy. The last time I looked, Alderman and Geoffreon
were still runniing Avengers. There should be some way to lighten the
chassis within a class to the specific class limit,...ie: 2300lbs

2) Also, there doesn't seem to be much difference in doing a short
burnout, as apposed to laying down a patch to the 60ft mark. I've also
found it nearly impossible to maintain one all the way from the box to
the 60ft mark.

3) Tire temps after a burnout simply aren't realistic, they're much
higher in real life.

4) After nearly duplicating Aldermans setup, I still can't get into
the low 7's. This may be a result of the Avenger being nearly 2600 lbs
in the game,.......but I should still be running better than 7.65
et's. ( I tried it with one of the Firebirds and with some tweaking
could only muster a 7.46.)

5) Not on the subject,........but a paint kit would be nice. Driving a
"Hormel Chilli" car really sux. Something like what we had in Nascar
would work. Some of the cars in Burnout are pretty damn hideous!

While on the subject of weight, I would like to be able to just change the
weight of the cars to anything I want. In fact all of the chassis factors
(frontal area, weight, and weight distribution & CG height) should be
adjustable. I've seen some postings of people who have tried to create
thier own car (as have I) but that can't be done unless you happen to
drive one of the few cars supplied. I don''t know of many street corvettes
that weight under 3000 lbs so using the '95 corvette just won't work.

I would also like to applaud Bethsoft for the great effort they put into
patch 1.2.
I had removed Burnout from my computer and stopped playing it because
some of the things that were wrong were soooooo annoying I couldn't stand it
(things like not getting a reading if I redlighted). But it is much better
with
patch 1.2. And since they are the first company to make a 3D dragrace
program,
I think we should all be helping them make it better instead of putting them
down
for the errors in the program. At least they are making patches available
and
not making us buy the next version (which I would not have done) to get bugs
fixed.

Great.  The more input the sooner the faster we can make it better!!!

The only PRO-STOCK Chasis's are those 2.  yes we need to add somemore
chasis and that is in process.  I'll ask why isnt the avenger on the
list.... Good point

When you mean difference do you mean heating the tires and effectingET.  I
have found about a .3 tenth difference if you dont leave at
the best tire tempeature...

What is the range you are getting I have heated my tires all theway to
about 275 degrees.  What is the range you would recommend??

Now thats a different problem and you have to work work work.  Thefast
guys are running right in the 6.6 and 6.7 range and that would be
Tim, Pete, Scott and Annointed and I am sure I missed about a dozen
more...

Derek Hollis I believe is doing a paint kit.. If its not derek than youcan
contact Hump or Kip as they can help you.... PAINT KIT
IS COMING and I bets its 3rd party..
