CPR:CH Pro Pedal ?

by Steve » Sat, 07 Feb 1998 04:00:00

Hello All,
I'm new to this newsgroup and racing sims all together.I'm a many year
veteran of Online WWII flight sims.
I just dl'd CPR Demo (13.6 mb)and can't seem to get my pedals working.
Setup
Pent. 166   64 mb ram  Jaton 128 bit 4mb Vid card.
CH Combat Stick
CH Pedals (not the pro-pedals)
CH Pro-Thottle

Readme says it supports the CH Pedal/Pro,just to set up a new controller
for the TM T1/T2 without adaptor.Do this and it shows not attatched or
something.Does show the Combat stick with the rudder box checked.
Readme says to go to custom controls in setup of the game and select
customize controller. When I do this I get the blue MS error screen (
Fault ) it then kicks me back to the desktop.
MS Direct X 5.0
reinstalled.......same thing.

Anyone able to use the CH pedals (not the pro-pedals)in CPR?
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""in the Demo?
Will buy the game if it'll work with my pedals....any help would be very
much appreciated.

Thanks
Rattler

Hi Steve,
I also started from flight sims and used a TM stick, pedals
and throttle before I got a wheel. I used to just program the keyboard
commands into the throttle & stick with CS commander program. But in your
case you might try this which was posted on the Apex site. Which BTW is a
great site for CPR info. Here is the Apex URL : http://cart.gamestats.com/
And here is the post which was in the news archives. Good luck let us know
if it doesn't work, Mike

Robert Lortie posted the following configuration for his GP1 steering wheel
and CH Peddles on the APEX message board:

I found a setup that is working very good.
1) In Win 95 game controller setup choose ''Thrustmaster Formula T1/T2
without adapter''
2) Uncheck Poll with interrupts enabled
3) Uncheck ruder pedals
4) In Cart customize controller check swap pedals with no throttle control
5) And finally don't give any car control to any button 3,4,7,8
Have a nice race

This setup does not involve opening the CH Peddles to get it to work.
