Well, some kiddies magazines seems to give games 80-90%+ on a regular basis.
Maybe the original poster had that in mind? Anyroad, F1GP2 got 95% in the
UK version of PCGamer, and that was the highest points score they have
ever given.

To answer your question, of course 95% means the game is good,
in fact it means the game is brilliant, but bear in mind the
version "reviewed" was an early beta copy, and the game has
evolved an awful lot since then. We shall have to wait and see
in 8 days or so (If you beleive in miracles) so see for
ourselves how good it really is, and whether we can actually
play it on our machines or not.

Ok where is it? June 15th has come and past. We were told to
wait a couple more days, over 3 days ago. So where is the
patch. I stopped playing ICR2 over a month ago because of the
bugs, and I want to play it again, I'm getting bored with
NASCARS!! Please put us out of misery and tell us where to get
the patch soon.
Please
Pretty please
Enough grovelling, release it NOW!

Well, Rick said that it should be online by the enf of last
week. It's now Monday morning, and I've just been to the
Sierra Web Page, and guess what no sign of the patch!
This is turning out to be like GP2, although I'm sure the
patch is finished, it's just we can't get our hands on it. So
where can we get it from, if Sierra can't be bothered to put
it on their web page, and technical support seems to think
that the patch doesn't exist.

For what it's worth, here is a copy from an E-Mail response I got from
Sierria regarding the patch:
<<Subj: Indy 2 patch
Date: 96-06-25 12:11:35 EDT
From: SierraOne
To: Ualani
The patch is in Papyrus QA currently, not Sierra (according to Rick
Genter), and when they are through with it will have to come to Sierra for
some final touches and approval for release.
After it is approved it will probably take 1-2 days for the patch to be
releases on AOL.
And this is *exactly* the reason we do not distribute this information
normally -- Papyrus seems to have mis-predicted the release date for the
patch, and now everyone's expectations have been falsely set. This has
nothing to do with Sierra's ownership of Papyrus, just one person's
mis-estimation, nothing more.
