How does GP2 run in Windows 95?  Any problems or is it best to drop
down to DOS?

I have the game running in W95 and I can't see any speed difference
between W95 and DOS speeds (P100 w/24MB EDO ATI Mach64)

It runs okay in Windows95, but crashes when I try to save a hotlap.
Hotlap saving in plain vanilla DOS works, so I guess it's a bug that
has something with W95....
Anyone else unable to save a hotlap in WIn95?

Bye,
Erik.

Saving hotlaps didn't work for me until I increased the Memory allowed to the
game in its shortcut. Maybe this is the trick... Try it and see

It is recommended to run the game in DOS. You can run it through Win95
if you have at least 16MB of RAM. On a 166 or higher should not make
any difference.
Watch for an FAQ I'm currently compiling, I was planning to post it
next Tuesday for the official release date but since most of Europe
has the game now, I'll probably post it tonight or tomorrow.

It only runs in MS-DOS mode. That means Windows shuts down.

Why would you want Win95 running...I would think you would want to run as
little as possible with this monster.

Not so, mine runs under Win95 and quits straight back to the desktop
without a reboot. I'm not sure if I can still Alt-TAB, since I usually
reboot to DOS 6.22 to play anyway (better frame rates and all that!).

Cheers!
