Thats all fine, but why did we hear about how somebody STAYED UP ALL NIGHT
TO FINISH IT if that only meant it was going to be another month till it's
released?????
If somebody wants a pat on the back, for a hard days work..just ask..But
don't make it sound like we should be on the look-out for it if it isn't
even close to being released.
Jeez. Ill check back in September to see if it's been released yet. And OH
MY GOD, I just can't wait till that NASCAR 2 is released this fall..Yea
right !! Maybe by NEXT Christmas.. thats 12/97......... MAYBE!!!

This is a quote from an email sent to me by Ed Martin.
"The patch is going through testing right now.  We hope to have it online
sometime next week"

There folks is a positive response :-).

Let's hope that Sierra put it up as soon as possible, after all one of
their tech guys said that the patch for the paintkit would be put on the
web site about 2 weeks ago, and I may be blind (figuratively speaking),
but I can't find it :-)

: And this is *exactly* the reason we do not distribute this information
: normally -- Papyrus seems to have mis-predicted the release date for the
: patch, and now everyone's expectations have been falsely set. This has
: nothing to do with Sierra's ownership of Papyrus, just one person's
: mis-estimation, nothing more.

Sounds like "sticks and stones"... I know Rick's track record... and I
know Sierra's... humm.... I'll stick with Rick. This information though,
being released from Sierra/Bryan could show the dissention among the two
companies.

I will assume (not having seen it), that the promised patch will include
fixes to the Paintkit.  However, until then I have it available at my
website, URL's :
        http://www.teleport.com/~mcarver/autosim.htm
        ftp://ftp.teleport.com/users/mcarver/AutoSim/pkit102.exe

Can anyone with the new DOS/Win95/Mac version answer the second
question?

The yellow flag bug isn't fixed, but, after watching the sad end of the
Toronto Indycar race there's not enough emotion left to care about a
yellow flag bug.

Real life does have a tendency to put things back into perspective.....
