I was thinking today that one of the best things about GPL at the moment
is the fact we're all driving *exactly* the same car. Ok, there's plenty
of room for variations in controller and how those controllers are
calibrated. But for the time being we all know there's no "magic" setup
which'd allow us to go a little faster. Only one setup, and no excuses for
not driving as fast as the others :-)

Adds to the enjoyment IMO.

PS My only disappointment so far is that the lap timer doesn't work
anti-clockwise around Watkins Glen. Shame it doesn't, then we'd have
another track to drive :-) (Best bit IMO is the long "s" down into the
start/finish line).

Well, it does seem that the real *** sim junkies are driving the
Lotus.  But each one of the 3 GP cars have vastly different handling
characteristics.  This is a big improvement for Papy sims.  Even
though all their past efforts have had at least 3 different cars, only
the Buick in Indianapolis 500 seemed to be as drastically different from
the others.  

I hope to see such differences in N3 and CART3.  Especially if they
start adding engine tweaking to their sims...
