any one know why NFS 3 locks up after the first race, i have a creative TNT
Riva card and a pentium 2 /350 with 64 meg of ram, haven't tried the latest
drivers and trouble shooting gives no ideas

I was having some problems with Viper using my TNT2 card that were cured
when I switched to the Nvidia 2.08 drivers.  Give it a try, it's free.

I remember having this problem and it wasn't a video card issue.  I had to go
through the excruciatingly laborious process of using their smart update to get
the latest NFS3 patch installed, after which no more lockups.

I had the same problem, it wasn't a video card issue. I just reinstalled the
game and it worked fine...
