Great to see the Goodwrench Monte Carlo back in Victory Lane again.  Even if
it's #29 instead of #3.  Congrats to Kevin again.

Next time please put Spoiler in the title.  In Europe we don't get
highlights of the race until next Sunday so I try to avoid seeing the
result.  Unfortunately I haven't managed to do that today.

Cheers

It would have been much nicer to see it with my own eyes!
Jeez -- do you think Kevin jumps out of the car and races
over to see what the guys in R.A.S. think an hour after the
race?  I usually blame myself for checking any auto-racing
site or group, before I've seen the tape (one time I got burned
shopping for slot cars!), but I didn't think there'd be much
danger in checking out a sim group a half-hour after the
race ended.

Rats.

Boy, y'all are a pissy bunch of folks today.  Even if you knew the results,
the last 50 or so laps are highly entertaining.  Get over it.  I'm happy for
Richard Childress and Co.

"Get over it"? How about you just follow the rules of the group. Or are you
one of those people that say "I know it's against the rules, but..."

The proper response is, "Excuse me, I didn't really stop to think
about this being a global forum.  I'll put Spoiler in the Subject line
next time.  Sorry about that."

They're a pissy bunch because you spoiled their chance to let the race
unfold with the outcome unknown, just--I must point out--as it did for
you to your obvious enjoyment.  I strongly suggest that you take a
step back for just a minute and ponder this from other people's point
of view.

Telling people to "get over it" ain't gonna cut it in most social
situations.  Tell that to the room the next time you fart at an
important meeting with you boss and some clients.

Regards,
Brett C. Cammack

If I truly offended, upset, or saddened anyone with my congratulatory post
concerning today's race, then I'm sorry.  However, the results of the race
were practically everywhere on the web because of whose car it was.  I
didn't feel that I was breaking any rules by making this post.  Hell, if it
wasn't for this newsgroup, I wouldn't have found out about who won the
Australian GP, or about the track marshall that was killed there.  (Oops,
spoiler again)

Oh, and about the rules of the group;  if someone would post a hyperlink to
a URL with a FAQ about rec.autos.simulators and show me where it's against
the rules to leak real life race info, then I will again offer my apologies
for breaking said "rule".

but didn't watch it yet, I figured it was somewhat common knowledge.  Again,
I apologize to those who were greatly offended, hurt, or had their lives in
anyway disrupted because of this.

Russ

Oh, and Brett, I can control my sphincter enough to not fart in business
meetings, social situations, or important gatherings with people who's
opinion I greatly value.

Ditto...

But, will Jr's luck EVER change ?

Man, I simply could not believe what happened this time.  It looked like he
would finally be up near the front, and blammo.  He blew a tire.
