Pit stops in ICR2

Yesterday I bougth me a copy of Indycar 2. I only had the time to play it for
half an hour..and I couldn't manage to do any pit stops....
When I stop in my pitsposition.. my crew doesn't do anything !!!!  Can
anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong...

By the way.. My first Impression of the game aren't that good...
I like F1GP very much and I doubt ICR 2 wil bring as much fun
as F1GP has given me in the past... can anybody point me the
advantages of ICR2 over F1GP...!!!

Greetings ,,, P.A.trick

hmm.. maybe I should get this F1GP. I thought/still think iCR2 is the
ultimate in driving simulation. of course I've played ICR from the
original version to the newest version. as for the pits... BRAKE! DAMMIT!!
if you overshoot nuthing will happen.

I think before anyone here can really address this you should
elaborate on what it is that you aren't impressed with.  What do you
not like ?  What problems are you having?

Advantages of ICR2 over F1GP: a far superior driving model.
Advantages of F1GP over ICR2: the game designers have done more than just
making a car drive, they also thought about making it user-friendly. In ICR2
you can't properly save a game (yes you can save, but you then make a sort of
restart, I wouldn't call that saving), you have proper qualify sessions, you
can view the best times during each session and you see the fastest lap during
race.
But the most irriting in ICR2 is the fact that you can't disable joystick in
menu's!!

If just Papyrus and Microprose joined forces and give us a game which drives
like ICR2 but has the structure of F1GP. Perhaps GP2 will satisfy me.
