Cool stuff Todd!  (I used to race R/C, Heemstede and all - mostly
electro 1:12 / 1:10 though  ;)

Thanks, Jasper.  Yes, this is my little baby.  It uses my physics engine and I
do all the data gathering and consult with the engineers on handling and so on.
It's been a very interesting project.  Got to go to Holland three times in the
past year to work on it and will go back again at the end of June, so it's been
a fantastic opportunity that really arose from nothing but a hobby.  A bit of a
dream come true for me really :-)

Thanks Rudy :-)  The Serpent engineers let me run one of their first 1:10 scale
710 cars at Heemstede, (Mach).  We will have that track available too of course
;-)

Wow! This looks really cool! Very original and different from anything
currently available. The graphics look very good.

A couple of questions if I may...

I assume this will be a commercial game?
If so, how can we purchase it? Online at local stores?
Are you planning on releasing demo?

Sure!  It's only a game, so I don't have to worry about scattering my body
parts all across the track if(when?) I***up...<g>

Thanks :-D

This will be downloadable online only, we're not retailing it in stores.  The
game itself will be free and come with two tracks and a couple of cars.  (No
demo necessary then!)

After that we hope folks will buy and download the add-on tracks seperately
online.  You will also be able to purchase a "racing license" that lets you
take part in an online competition format at the web site.  With that you can
take part in events on a time trial basis and see how you rank against real
drivers.  No multiplayer just yet, but we hope this will do well enough to kick
us into writing that next :-P

Big Scale Racing is good.  Those are scale cars though.  We're doing 1:8 and
1:10 gas cars.  The 1:8 scale are the fastest road racing RC cars in the world
and are pretty demanding to drive quickly.  Ours has a very, very different
feel from Big Scale Racing, and you can set up the car the same way you set up
a real one.
Ours is modelled much more thoroughly, with fully dynamic suspension including
jacking effects from roll centers that move correctly with suspension travel,
gyroscopic wheel effects, you name it :-)

It's hard to drive, but once you get the hang of it it's quite ***ing (I may
be a bit biased though ;-))
