Screamin 3d tips?

I noticed in an earlier post, that a couple of people mentioned the DMA 3d
version and the "-4" switch.  I have never heard of these.  Is there
anymore things that would help me out.  I don't even know how to check my
frame rate.  Any info would be appreciated.

The -4 switch only works with the patches (read the Readme.txt files
that come with the patches).  It will use 4-bit track textures and
should be a little bit quicker in the frame rate department.  The only
way to check frame rate is to set something to auto and set the min
max frame rate to within 1 of each other.  Then whenever you can get
the "auto" texture to not go off and on will be an estimate of your
frame rate.  This is not accurate, but should be within 2fps of the real
frame rate.  However, the Rendition version suffers if you have anything
set to auto.  So once you figure out the frame rate, make sure all of
the graphics you want turned on are set to On not Auto.

If you have the Rendition Ver. of ICR2 then you can press ALT -F I
think.Alt something anyway.I don't know if it is right but I get something
like 60 frames a second on certain parts of the tracks.

That's interesting.  Do you know why and how much the Rendition version
suffers from auto settings?

Alt-R displays the FR in the rendition version.

Just a guess, but I assume it takes some cpu time to shut down or turn
on the "auto" textures and this tends to "stutter" the frame rate.  The
same thing happens in the non-rendition version, but the affect is not
as apparent.  I assume that some cpu time is always taken to calculate
when to turn on or off the texture also.
