SCGT- LWFF & CTFJ Settings?

by Stewar » Sun, 12 Dec 1999 04:00:00

I have just recently purchased SCGT and am a wee bit disappointed with the
FF effects and feel.  It seems that when ever you decrease the "Speed
Sensitivity" Slider the effects increase but the car becomes way too
sensitive.
I have therefore installed the CTFJ utility.  After an initial glitch I have
got the utility to work but still can't seem to find an ideal setting that
improves the overall feel.

What settings are other LWFF owners using?  Are there any other ways to
improve the force?

Cheers
Stewart

P.S.
Thanks to Ed (rrevved at mindspring) for his superb soundpack V2.  It has
greatly improved the in-car sounds.

I would think about all you could do is use ctfj to turn down the
response of your wheel and pedals.  I know some GPL'ers went into the
negative number range to 'soften' up the brake pedal you could do the
same with the steering and that "mignt" allow you to turn the speed
sensitive slider all the way down which like you noted, some users have
said it increases the FF fx.

for the next poster,  CTFJ is a joystick centering program that allows
you to set the strenth of your joystick motions and increase or decrease
the deadzone area at the center of  your stick's travel.
