Best time at Road Atlanta in SCGT? and rant about 125mb patch

by Stan Mars » Mon, 07 Feb 2000 04:00:00

Hey everyone,
I've started playin SCGT again and on the road atlanta track last
night I got a 51:00 in qualifying.  The bad part is that it isnt recognised
as a record lap.  How far am I off compared to you guys?  The closest in
race conditions since is 51:87 or something.  I never take any notice, just
it felt like a really good lap.  This is in a BMW LMR (car # 43 I think -
download it nice car) fully upgraded.  Im using a sidewinder joystick.

I also downloaded the 125 meg patch over a few nights.  I dont think it was
worth the time take to get.  Its great to have all the new cars and I can
see how much effort would be required to make it - but SCGT crashes on me if
I look at 2 many of the cars in the buy screen, I dont like the yellow
headlights and that all the original cars have been removed - Plus the cars
without sounds (im going to do something about that) are really weird play
with and hard to drive.  And whats with that 4wd bugatti? (dont use you
precious money on it =) )  The old GT3? 4wd M3 handles sooo much better, but
I no longer have it.  The adjustable AI is no longer adjustable in the game,
and the default settings for races are annoying how it keeps reverting to
dark tracks for 60 minute races.

I do like the photos of the track, actual car photos, some of the menus and
I guess the variety in the cars is nice.  The amount of work required would
have been quite a lot.
sorry for ranting.
Pete
