I know how you feel, I had cable for five years and always requested
SpeedVision and ESPN2, but nooo.
The cable company added them a month before I moved.
I said, "Hell with cable" and bought an RCA DSS. A sports lovers dream.
I get to see all of the F1 races and even at multiple times. A few of the
channels broadcast a taped version a few seconds after other stations so I
sit there flipping back and forth trying to catch all of what happened in
wrecks, passes, spins, etc.

I agree totally here, I never watched CART, IRL, or F1 until I started
racing those sims.
I have always watched and went to NASCAR races, finally got one here, The
Brickyard.
It seems like the drivers I like and dislike on the CART circuit have a lot
to do with who wrecked me in the game.
And in NASCAR I always get a little more aggressive around my least favorite
drivers.
I also have a few buddies that were only CART fans until I got them racing
in NASCAR2 and some online races.
Now, they go to more NASCAR races than I do.

So, I guess the best thing for the racing world is great racing sims.

True, if America is to get another F1 race, I would rather see an entire
track build to accommodate it.
Maybe a complex like Japan has, everything you would need to have fun.
Have a huge fun park, road course, small oval, and whatever else to draw in
more races.

>No you did'nt see it shuey spoke about it in the interview after the race.

I saw it. C***+ footage divers from standard footage, and they
showed, in reply, that Hakkinen was on the grass when passing
Coulthard.

Rgds Phil.

Oh, come on...............

We all know that it was just Tony George (IRL).  He came up with this brilliant
plan to take over CART, and when it backfired in his face, he picked up his
ball and ran home in a huff.

In my opinion, what made Indy such a great race was the fact that it was always
an "open" race -- come one, come all.  Anyone could enter, and if past tech,
had an equal shot at qualifying for the race.  Jim Clark's Lotus, Andy
Granitelli's turbines...these are the fabric of the Indy legend; not spec
racers and restricted qualifing opportunities.

I only hope that when Little Al is too old and feeble to drive CART anymore,
that he has a chance to return to the brickyard, show Tony's little playmates
how to drive, and put the Unser family's win total up to 14 or 15, where it
should be.  :o)
