Well at this time the only option is to replace your current 2D card with
one of the Rendition cards.  I'd suggest waiting a month and getting one of
the V2200 based cards such as the Hercules Thriller 3D.  Early reports (with
alpha drivers) show it to be faster than the Voodoo with it's mature
year-old drivers.  One would assume as the drivers are refined the
difference would be more pronounced, but this may not be the case.  From
what I've been able to understand, the V2200 pretty much saturates the PCI
bus.  Thus for any real increases over the current performance, the AGP
version is needed to eliminate the bottleneck of the PCI bus.

The V2200 cards are said to be fully backwards compatable with current
Rendtion titles (speeding them up as well).

Not only will it run previous rendition games (coded for the v1000) it
is supposed to run them twice as fast....that's what i seem to
remember from press releases.

Now if rendition could move their ass and do something about
the support that would be great, the way things are now the definition
of 3d *** is '3dfx' which is not true of course...

oh well...see you

btw: i own an intense 3d and like it a lot!
