GPL: new winmip utility questions

by Patrick Gilmor » Sun, 12 Apr 1998 04:00:00

I have made new graphics for the '67 Ferrari (Amon's #1 from Spa) using the
new winmip utility available at The Apex but had a few questions. I have
installed the new graphics into the demo and it looks good except for the
fact that the bottom and the rear of the car is still blue (I imported over
the existing Eagle). Has anyone found a way to change the colors of the
bottom of the car? Also, on many of the unpacked mip files I get a "out of
memory" error and cannot convert the files to a bmp. Is this normal or am I
doing something wrong?

FWIW, the new utility at The Apex was created by David Noonan (N2>ICR2
converter fame), and is NOT the WinMip utility by Klaus H?rbrand of The
Sim Project.  He's working on completing his version though, and it
should be ready soon.  =)

Cheers!

The utility you refer to is not WinMip. The WinMip GPL update is available at
http://www.simproject.com . You should not see conversion errors with it
although I had not much time for testing.

Cheers!
