I have heard of a new simulator of the PAPYRUS.
It should be a simulation of the Championship German  DTM.
With cars type Mercedes C180, ALFA 155, OPEL Calibra etc etc.
Does anybody know anything more?

We can always hope!

A DTM or ITC sim. (ie Class 1) - or a BTCC (ie Class 2) sim.

Now THAT would be good - real circuits (ie left _and_ rights, with
wildly different radii, on the _same_ circuit) and cars that handle
fairly well (have you tried a NASCAR around Laguna?!?)

Next best thing to a WSB or GP250cc / GP500cc simulator!!!     B-)

But so far Papyrus (as was) has been sadly USAocentric in its outlook -
but you never know, they MIGHT notice there's a whole wide world of
motor racing out there.......

Cheers!

I wrote to Rick Genter about the simulator for DTM/BTCC/ITC
cars but he said there are no plans as of now. I hope that
when the new NATCC league starts in the US Papyrus could
look at the great market they would have, and not to close
their eyes at only NASCAR, which is great BTW.

I hope too they can do something for the great cars such
as MB, BMW, Volvos, etc.

Where did you hear this really exciting rumor?  Wouldn't that be great
though?  Racing cars that you can buy yourself if you had the money.

If you've got the money to afford a DTM spec car why are you playing
with simulators? Those things are only just behind F1 & Indy
technology:)

Man, that would be cool! I'd love to see a simulation for the touring car
championships, maybe now that one is starting up in the U.S., that will be in
the cards.

What if you aren't good enough to race those cars in real life, hence
the use of the simulator.  If I had enough money to buy the cars I
would still want to play the simulator because I wouldn't be racing my
full size car and smashing it up.
