I am sorry to hear that.  I am deeply disappointed in that move by
Papyrus.  It gives me the impression that Papyrus only wants to make
money at the expense of loyal software buyers.  Don't get me wrong I
love the game, but I am going to side with some of the other people on
this issue.  I feel that Papyrus tried to push the game out the door
before it was ready so that they could get the extra revenue from
Christmas sales.  It would have made more sense the end user.  Of course
now adays the software companies hurry up and release the product with
bugs, missing features, and other items that should have been addressed.

This move on Papyrus part, I think, was a poor choice.  It give the end
user the impression I stated above, in addition to costing them sales.
It will cost Papyrus sales because people will only stand so much.
People are also getting irritated that software companies are expecting
the end user to find the flaws in the software and if the company is in
a cheerful mood they might fix the gripes.

A disappointed, maybe depending on future releases Papyrus customer

Ah, Richie, you _will_ get past my "bozo filter", won't you...

Guess what?  I'm betting money that what you did is a violation of
your TOS agreement--at least that's what I told your postmaster.  I hope
that I'm not the only one to have reported this (hint, hint).

Just in case anybody else wants to report our friend Richie, remember

responsible for this post, so don't get ***.  Point out what he did,
point it out in an *** manner, and leave it to them.

send--anymore, and they'll brand us as kooks.  That doesn't do anything.

3) Don't mailbomb him--that'll just get you in trouble with _your_ ISP.

find yourself booted.

Keep those cards and letters coming in...

It appears someone has nothing better to do with his/her time than to
try to irritate good folks.

So for all those who don't look at email addresses - This is a fake.

I would like to take this opportunity Mr. Manning to say that you are a
complete ass.  Jim Sokoloff takes the time to sift through the hundreds of
articles in this newsgroup to keep us informed and answer our questions,
simply because he chooses to.  Then people like you thank him by forging
messages and trying to cause turmoil simply because you have way to much
free time.  Get a life.

I would like to apologize to anyone that read my post.  I did not think
to look at the header since I didn't think that anyone was that immature
to impersonate someone.  I guess that I was wrong.  Impersonating
someone so that it does harm to a company and the persons name is
something that I would expect from a 10 year old mental midget using
mommy's computer would do.

I appologize to you Jim and any other person that read my message.

The person that impersonated Jim, must also be a coward.  I feel this
way since he could not take is flames out here in public using his real
name and e-mail address.  I would follow Scott Stevenson's suggestion

not go unpunished.

It is one thing to impersonate someone, but when you are trying to hurt
a company or individual that is just plain moronic.  Even Beavis &
Butthead would not do something that stupid, wait what am I saying they
aren't bright enough to think of that.

I think it would serve him right for his provider to terminate his
usage.

Nice try Richie.  Next time you may want to actually try covering your

Richard Manning wrote while impersonating "Jim Sokoloff":

Rich,
Ever heard the expression "There's one in every crowd"?
Congratulations, Your the one! Yep, your the reason dinosaurs made Tar,
Birds make feathers, Pilgrims made stocks and God made stones, <snip a
whole bunch of stuff> nations make nuclear warheads.

BTW, quit following the "standard dork on the internet" pattern and try
something creative and original next time. say, for example, disappear.
The "impersonate somebody from Papyrus" trick has been done already
by someone more intelligent than yourself.

BTW again, you'd be amazed by the number of people who read the news
groups. It is quite possible that someone who knows your mother is
reading this stuff. Then your really gonna be in trouble. We're talking
big time restriction like maybe a month without Nintendo 64. If your
mother is listening then I've got two words for her...BIRTH CONTROL.

Sorry to all for this off topic post. I'll stop contributing to this
thread now. Guess I could have just said, Please report this Net abuse
to Rich's postmaster but it wouldn't have made me feel any better.

I guess I would like to know why netcom thinks it is OK for one of it's

a user form a legitimate company. This person has obviously had some
type of personal problem with Mr. Sokoloff. I don't understand it but if
impersonating another user, (possibly making manning liable) in not
inline with netcom rule, appropiate action should be taken.

BTW, Mr. Sokoloff works for Papyrus and is one of the programers of
Nascar Racing2 listed at the back of the manual. What your user did
was potentialy damaging to more than a single person.

Sincerly,
Greg Cisko

P.S. On the other hand, if someone was hacking Mr. Mannings name to make
it look like he did this then I apologize. But I seriously doubt this is
the case.

Netcom does NOT think it's ok to do what Richard did!!  A FRIENDLY note to

this matter should be all that is necessary to send Richard the way of other
dorks like John Daugherty (the last Richard type that was here).
